Pre/Post Confidence Check — Growth Calibration Lesson
A confidence question asked before the lesson and asked again after, then the change is shown side by side so the learner feels the growth they made — pilots a JS-to-React lesson but the pattern fits any concept-heavy lesson where felt progress matters.
Best for: Concept-heavy lessons where you want learners to feel — and see — the growth they actually made between the start and the end.

What it does
- Pre-lesson confidence rating — one focused question with a 1–5 or 1–10 scale, captured before the lesson begins
- Quiet capture — the score saves without a heavy form, no friction at the start
- Post-lesson re-rating — the same question returns at the close so the learner can rate again with their new perspective
- Side-by-side delta — the two ratings are shown together with a clear visual of the change
- Felt-progress moment — the delta animates in so the growth is celebrated rather than just measured
- Cohort or self-comparison — optional benchmark line showing how the learner compares to other students or their own past lessons
Best use cases
- Technical training — programming, data, and tooling lessons where confidence matters as much as knowledge
- Sales and negotiation — confidence on objection handling, pricing conversations, or discovery
- Public speaking and writing — confidence on delivering a hard message
- Therapy and coaching certification — confidence on running specific techniques
- Leadership development — confidence on giving feedback, running 1:1s, holding hard conversations
- Health behavior change — confidence on sticking to a new habit before and after the lesson
What you can change with your DNA
When you run this through the remix skill, your CCOS DNA — brand, voice, audience — drives these decisions automatically:
- Colors — slots for the rating control, the pre-bar, the post-bar, and the accent that highlights the delta
- Fonts — display font for the question, body font for the scale labels, and an optional accent for the delta number
- Copy — the calibration question, the scale labels, the closing reflection sentence, and the celebratory delta line
- Images — optional small avatar or illustration that reacts to the score change
- Behavior — scale length (1–5 vs 1–10), whether the post-rating allows a written reflection, and whether benchmarks are shown
